The Safe Seat Fund - Support Someone in Need – Donate a Counselling Session

Not everyone has the financial means to access counselling when they need it most — and yet, a single session can change a life. It can bring clarity, peace, hope, and a sense of being heard.

If you-d like to help someone who is struggling but unable to afford therapy, you can now donate sessions directly through Redpoint Life Coaching & Counselling. Your contribution goes exactly where it’s needed — straight into funded sessions for those facing barriers to support.

Together, we can make counselling accessible, one session at a time.

How it works?

1.Choose How Much You Would Like To Donate

You can donate the cost of:
• One session
• Multiple sessions
• A recurring monthly contribution
• A part-payment toward someone’s session

No amount is too small — every contribution truly helps.

2. Funds Go Into a Dedicated Support Pot

All donations are pooled and allocated transparently to individuals facing financial difficulty. Clients can apply confidentially to access these funded sessions, ensuring fairness and dignity throughout the process.

3. Someone Receives Counselling Because of You

Your donation directly covers a real session with a real person who needs support. You’re helping someone feel seen, heard, and valued — possibly at a time when they felt most alone.

Who You Will Be Supporting

This fund is designed for people who:

✔ Are currently unable to afford counselling
✔ Are experiencing overwhelm, stress, grief, a life transition or an emotional struggle
✔ Would benefit from professional, compassionate support
✔ Are ready to engage in the therapeutic process but need a helping hand

Your generosity could give someone the breakthrough they’ve been waiting for.

Apply for a Funded Counselling Session

I recognise that therapy can be a lifeline — a space for grounding, healing and growth — and finances shouldn’t be the barrier that prevents someone from accessing support. Thanks to the generosity of donors, several counselling sessions are available at no cost to people facing financial difficulties or personal hardship.

If you would like to be considered for a funded place, you are welcome to get in touch.

When enquiring, please include:

  • A brief overview of why you feel counselling would support you at this time
  • Whether you are currently experiencing financial barriers to accessing support
  • Any relevant circumstances that may help me understand your situation (e.g. unemployment, low income, caring responsibilities, recent life changes, health or bereavement challenges)

Eligibility will be assessed based on need, timing, and the availability of funded sessions. I aim to offer these places to those who are unable to access support, prioritising individuals experiencing emotional difficulties, significant life transitions, or financial constraints.

If you wish to request a funded session, please get in touch with me via email,  use the message form below or WhatsApp/call me. The details are on the Contact Page.

I want you to know that every enquiry is handled confidentially, with sensitivity and respect. Your personal information will remain private, and any sessions received through this fund will be kept entirely confidential and anonymous.

You deserve to heard.

Transparency & Trust

To maintain trust and integrity in this scheme, I have created a clear structure for managing donated funds, allocating sessions, and reporting outcomes in an ethical and professional way.

Record Keeping & Logging

  • Every donation will be logged with the date received, the amount, and the initials/reference for tracking.
  • Every funded session delivered will be recorded (anonymously) with:
  • Date of session
  • Whether it was fully or partially funded
  • Session completed or cancelled
  • Internal reference code (no client names disclosed publicly)

What I can share publicly

  • Total donations received monthly
  • Total sessions funded and delivered
  • General anonymised outcomes such as:
  • "This month donations funded 7 sessions for 3 individuals."
  • Regular updates on social media/website at set intervals (monthly or quarterly)

What I cannot share

  • Names, personal details or identifying information about recipients
  • Specific presenting issues or session content
  • Any details that undermine confidentiality, dignity, or privacy

I am accountable under the BACP Ethical Framework regarding confidentiality, fairness, and data protection.

I must keep anonymised records for auditing and safeguarding purposes. Donations are not counted as charitable income unless registered as such — at this stage, they are regarded as business income allocated for community access.

If donations and funded sessions increase significantly, I may consider establishing a CIC or charity arm for further governance.

Internal safeguards

  • A log book or spreadsheet will track donations ↔ sessions to ensure no donated funds are used elsewhere.
  • A written summary can be shared publicly at agreed intervals for transparency.
